At about 1995, about 7 years old I heard a song that caught my attention and I sounded like classical music with flutes and violins combined with pop ballad. That was my first experience with the "mix" music.
Half past high school had an overdose of commercial music, MTV, passed by the BSB / Linkin Park / Korn / Limp Biskit / etc.-mania eventually I became blasé. Parallel got my hands on a CD with techno and eurodance music that captivated me enough at the time (DJ Alligator and other types can not remember)
Investigating (so down Napster and Kazaa) I ran into electronic versions of popular songs that never caught my attention especially since I was usually simple additions of bass and replacement of the bill by a sharp Sonidito ...
However, I began to find good quality tracks and pulling for the dance-influenced house. and found remixes that were not simpletons who knew. They reinterpreted the original song and it went round and played with rhythm. And I started looking more and more. For example compare these two versions of Tears from the Moon: Conjure One original and the remix of Tiesto.
While in college I found another kind of musical collage that interested me even more: The Mash-up.
These monstrosities are mixtures of two (or more) songs generally house with an electronic background. I can say that there really began my addiction to music recycled. I got all the tracks with the mash-up name that I found, by the way I met groups would not have found otherwise. Coincidentally the same week that I got mad mash-ups as I first went to the Flying Cow creek and then they put it exactly the same tracks that had gotten <3! por eso fui hasta que cerró ¬¬
